...Ever felt like your prayers are too small for Heaven? Or that God won’t even care about what you’re praying for? I’ve been there, beating myself up. Just in my head; not wanting to be transparent with God with some of my desires; even with some of the minuscule things that I use to take pleasure going to Him for, like, a parking spot- and- He’d always come through! Lol Lately, I’ve been thinking that I shouldn’t be praying about those things or some of my desires; and thinking that I ought to just be “grateful”... See, that’s how the enemy tries to separate us from the love of God; to get us to think that God doesn’t care about us, our needs or desires and to sever our INTIMACY with God. God Cares But, I was reminded and convicted that God cares about ALL things concerning us. The Bible says that not only are the hairs on our heads accounted for but that they are NUMBERED by God (Luke 12:7) And that He collects our tears. (Psalm 56:8) 😳 So, if something matters to us (big or small) it matters to HIM. Don’t ever feel that your needs or prayers are too small, or that your feelings don’t matter to God, because they do. He wants us to trust & confide in Him for all things. Proof The same Jesus that raised Lazarus from the dead (John 11: 43) is the same Jesus that turned water into wine for Mary’s 'turn up at the wedding' because it was important to her. (John 2:3) (Lynn's Biblical Translation, Lol) 🤷🏾♀️🙌🏾 The point is, He cares! And He will show up! I Don’t Know How to Pray Or, maybe you’re thinking that you don’t know how to pray, or you think that your prayers ought to be this long, drawn out or eloquent speech. It doesn’t! In fact, God prefers it not to be. (Matthew 6:7) He just wants a raw and pure out pour from (y)our hearts.
Prayer is just a conversation with God where you can unpack all your cares! (1 Peter 5:7). And it’s ok, if all you can muster out is “Jesus”. He hears you and will be near. Rest ~ God is MIGHTY, faithful and CARING. He cares about our ENTIRE lives. So, take, it, all, to, HIM. May we learn to get out of our heads and just bring it to God. May we find rest in His Shadow of love.
With love,
