….coming home, is always a sweet time for me. It reminds me of the familiar and the strength in that, my strength, my family, me, where I’ve come from and it also propels me to know that I can seek the foreign, and will succeed in that also because of exactly where it is I come from. What I come from. Grace, love. Victory. It reminds me and gives me permission to receive what God wants to do in my life because I have an army behind me, often feeling that the thing God wants to do through us is so much bigger than me. It reminds me that it is only with Jesus coming and leaving that we then now have the in dwelling of the Holy Spirit….
Grateful for the intersection and excitement that comes from the familiar and foreign. ✨ May this year be a beautiful combination of both and may you know you have what it takes for the journey. it’s in the journey we grow, I don’t even need to always win, as long as I learn from the journey—God’s grace will get me where I need to be and in that is all I need to continue onward. I hope this year your home coming is less about a destination and more about becoming what’s always been inside. Becoming more of what you’re graced to be so you can bring that forward.
Here’s a quote I really love from Alan Watts that adds a bit of magic to these thoughts nicely.
“We thought of life by analogy with a journey, a pilgrimage, which had a serious purpose at the end, and the thing was to get to that end, success or whatever it is, maybe heaven after you’re dead. But we missed the point the whole way along. It was a musical thing and you were supposed to sing or to dance while the music was being played.”
Loved this too by Beau Taplin~ "The secret is to never lose sight of the simple, everyday miracles in life. Good food, literature, laughter, music, compelling conversation, nature, and art. Look for them in every day, and even when it feels like your whole world is unravelling, you will never be too far from a needle and thread.”
Soar. Sometimes it may feel like your wings aren't strong enough, but God's hands are.
XoXo
Graced for the Journey.
